Kasturba Solar Khadi Mahila Samiti and Green Fab Solar Khadi Processing Cluster are the two sister organizations working for the Amravati Solar Charkha Cluster project. They are one of India’s first decentralized clean-energy powered social enterprises working in the khadi and village industries sector. Led by women, they promote sustainable livelihood creation, and women empowerment at the grassroots level in Amravati district, Maharashtra. Their role involves integrating the backward and forward linkages in the solar-spun yarn and fabric production process.
